A project made by the architects Davor Matekovic and Vedrana Jancic, both from the Proarh studio, won the prestigious award by The Plan magazine in the category of Villas and houses with garden. The awarded project refers to the unusual and contemporary Issa Megaron villa on Vis island, Croatia.
The villa, shown in the picture, has the surface of 485 square meters and is located in Dracevo polje, literary in the middle of nowhere, which only emphasizes its need for self-sustainability. For the same reason, it has been entirely blended in environment and features solar panels and rain collection system.
This extraordinary project has already been awarded by the World Architecture Festival in Singapore in the category House – Future Projects. It was also a nominee for the international Piranesi award.
Congratulations to the Proarh architects. Working in a real estate sales for over a decade, we are often visiting dull houses with no character. For once, we are thrilled to discover an exciting new projects that represent the definition of the contemporary architecture itself, while having respect for the environment at the same time.
