Short-term letting to tourists is a serious business in Croatia which contributes to the GDP in a great percentage. It is no surprise that the competition among the buy-to-let investors has become fierce. As a result, tourists are benefiting from apartments and houses looking better and better with every new season. In fact, many of them have even been awarded by the world's known booking portals such as Booking.com. Even though the portal awards plenty of accommodation properties each year in various categories, it is not easy to break into the Top ten among the 600 thousand units listed. Back in 2015, three apartments and rooms from Croatia (one being from Split and the other from Trogir) made it into the finals and were declared to be the best in their category.
At the end of 2017, there were 64 participants running for the Best European Holiday Home award in Brussels, among which 12 finalists from Croatia. Four of them won the first place, each in a different category, proving to be the best in the industry.
Connoisseurs of the property market say that the trend of luxury accommodation has reflected on the sales market too. Investors are finally seeing the rise of demand for high-end projects. Clearly there is a portion of buyers willing to pay extra in order to get the appropriate quality. Lately we've seen a substantial number of newly built villas that feature modern architecture and thoughtful interior design. These are the Top 3 high-end villas in our offer for the first quarter of 2018. Enjoy!
